What is your background?

I am a Master Plumber & Gasfitter by trade for 30 years and was a Home Improvement Contracting business owner between 2005-2011. I have been a Facilities Management professional ever since!

What is your role at TBP?

I am a Senior Program Manager supporting several FM and O&M contracts.

Can you tell us about the work you do at TBP?

I support TSA, ATF, GAO and NPS directly with project and employee management, as well as assist in new business pursuits. I support MEP review as an SME for RFP’s and RFQ’s. I also assisted in proposal writing and review as time permits.

What do you like most about working in your role?

There is a new challenge every single day! I thrive on problem solving and there does not appear to be a shortage of those in this line of business anytime soon.

How do you define success?

When a team comes together to achieve an established goal and nails the target on or under time and budget.

What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?

My parents were foster parents from the 70’s to the 90’s. My younger two sisters were both adopted and I stay connected to several foster siblings through social media. Would love to have a “family” reunion in the very near future!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I have always felt that I can do anything that anyone else can do, just show me. I am constantly learning, and I ask a LOT of questions. That said, I would love to learn how to play the violin.

What is a favorite quote that resonates with you?

There are many inspirational quotes that come to mind, but nothing can beat John 3:16 for me “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

When I was 18, my mom suggested that I apply for the Washington, DC Plumbers Local Union #5 as my father, grandfather and great-grandfather had done. That decision led me onto the path I currently travel. My son Christian is now a 5th generation Morgal plumber.

What is the accomplishment you are the proudest of to date?

I am most proud of being a dad to 3 amazing young men (Jake, Christian and Ryan). All 3 of them were baptized on Father’s Day 2021 and it was one of the proudest days of my life.
