Leesburg, VA – December 3rd, 2020 – The Building People, LLC recently became an Investment Panel Sponsor for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), a program presented by the Loudoun Chamber Foundation. This program is a groundbreaking 7-month program that transforms middle and high school students into real-life entrepreneurs and business owners by empowering students to take charge of their futures in a profound way. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy Program not only teaches students about business, but it also builds confident leaders. Throughout the class, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, and then launch and run their own legal, fully formed companies and social movements.
Lawrence Melton, CEO & President said, “The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a phenomenal program to have in Loudoun County and we are so thrilled to now be an Investment Panel Sponsor. We look forward to our involvement in this program and encourage other local Loudoun County businesses to become involved as well to support our younger generation in becoming successful entrepreneurs.”
The Building People integrate technology, buildings, and people to deliver the future of facilities today. The company offers an array of facility management services, including building automation technology, energy, and sustainability solutions, and advanced asset management strategies to monitor and maintain buildings in efficient and cost-effective ways.
