LEESBURG, VA – October 22, 2019 –
The Building People has been awarded a $23 million contract by the U.S. Army Reserve to provide facility services support to the Operations, Maintenance and Energy Division of the Directorate of Public Works for the 63d Readiness Division, based in Mountain View, Calif.
The 63d Readiness Division has responsibility for real property ownership and support operations within a seven-state area that encompasses Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. It is vital that the buildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained to meet the functional, appearance, safety, security and environmental standards of a Department of Defense federal workplace.
The Building People will provide operations support services that include facility engineering and management technical support; quality assurance services; engineering and computer assisted design; facility operations and maintenance; environmental services; energy programming; and more. The Building People will help the government with the management and evaluation of activities associated with the installation, operation and maintenance of buildings, equipment, utilities, structures, grounds and roads often located in remote areas. The Building People also will provide input regarding the functionality and aesthetics of the facilities.

The company offers an array of facility management services, including building automation technology, energy and sustainability solutions and advanced asset management strategies to monitor and maintain buildings in efficient and cost-effective ways.
The contract has a six-month base period, four option years and another six-month option to extend services.
